Hello! I thought that I could teach a little on poems today.
First of,
A Five-Ws poem (a poem that includes the 5 ws (which are who,what,when,where,why)each in a line) =
A tree changes colour through the seasons in the forest because of weather. -Franka
My cat sleeps all day in the basement because he’s EVIL! -Franka
Next,
The Cinquain poem (a cinquain(sing-kān)is five lines long. It has a one word title, two describing words, three action words, four feeling words, and one synonym for title.) =
Friends Kind & Caring Laughing, Joking, & Tricking People To Hang With Tribe -Franka
Now,
The Limerick poem (a limerick is also five lines long, but this time lines 1,2,5 rhyme and lines 3,4 rhyme. They are usually silly.) =
(a) There once lived a giant Potato, (a) who fell into a Tornado! (b) He felt so alone, (b) that he got on the phone, (a) and called his friend the Tomato!!! – Franka
Okay So Now Onto,
The Haiku poem (a haiku (hī-kū) is three lines long. The first and third lines have five syllables and the second line has seven. These poems are usually about nature.)=
(5) The sky is now blue (7) though tonight this wont be true (5) but now it is blue. – Franka

The Alphabet poem (a alphabet poem takes parts of the alphabet to make funny poem.)=

Last But Not Least,
The Free Verse poem (whatever you want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)=
I like the snow in winter when its supposed to come, but when it comes in spring or summer it makes me want to suck my thumb! No outdoor sports or swimming or picnics to celebrate, so if it comes in summer I hope I do not faint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – Franka

That was excellent Teacher!! Thanks for the lesson. My homework, I imagine, is to make up a poem for each type.

Franka HOW INTERESTING!!!…. That is great….what type of poem is YOUR favourite?? Your did an excellent job with ALL of them…. I liked your Free Verse poem….as I’m glad that we haven’t gotten snow this spring….just lots of rain:)
